Chairman

Previously CEO of EM Solutions – specialist in commercial research and RF electronics.

Rowan is a doctoral-qualified electrical engineer with industry experience in Australia, the US and Europe. From 2011 to 2021 Rowan was CEO of EM Solutions, an advanced manufacturer of high-speed microwave radio and mobile satellite communications terminals. The lynchpin products developed during this time are now embedded in six of the world’s largest navies and resulted in EM Solutions being sold to Cohort for $144M in 2024.

Rowan was the Foundation Chair of EQUS & the ARC Centre of Excellence in Engineered Quantum Systems. He is a non-executive Director of CEA, Analog Quantum Circuits, and ANFF (the Australian National Fabrication Facility). He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Tech. Sci. & Engineering

CEO

Director at the Centre for Engineered Quantum Systems and responsible for business development at Quantum Australia - specialist in photonics.

Since 2000 Michael has founded several businesses in semiconductor-adjacent industries including photovoltaics, light emitting diodes, and semiconductor adhesives and packaging materials. He had raised over USD$60M in venture investment and commercial funding.

Michael is active in the Australian quantum and advanced technologies ecosystem and is a vocal advocate for commercialization of university research and developing a local manufacturing base for our high technology sector.

CTO

Previously CEO of Fultec, EMClarity and Aurtra– specialist in startups and power electronics.

Richard has 25 years' experience in semiconductor design and manufacturing. He has founded multiple companies including Fultec in 2001, EMClarity in 2010 and Aurtra in 2017 all three of which released world leading products which were commercial successes and ultimately sold to industry leaders including Bourns Inc. and Schneider Electric.

Richard has direct industry experience in SiC through his time as CTO of Fultec where he developed power MOSFETs in bespoke silicon, GaN and SiC. During this time Fultec was instrumental in developing the first commercially successful SiC power transistor.
